Journey by Horse-Drawn Carriage
in 3 days round the Wilder Kaiser mountains
Who
doesn't sometimes feel like dropping everything and turning the clock back? Why
not do just that on a horse-drawn carriage ride? You could even dress up in
traditional costumes.
After
you have spent your first night in Ellmau, what do you dream about, and what
can you not forget? The Kaiser mountains, of course! Come with me on a
horse and carriage journey round the Kaiser, just like 100
years ago.
I offer
a 3 day trip, mostly on track or quiet side roads from Ellmau via
Scheffau, Söll, Itter-Mühltal, Bruckhäusl, Bad Häring, Schwoich, Kufstein
(Fortress, Auracher Löchl, 1st overnight stop), Ebbs (Haflinger stud farm),
Buchberg, Durchholzen, Walchsee, Schwendt (2nd overnight stop), Griesenau,
Gasteig, St. Johann, Going and back to Ellmau.
Leave the stress at home and relax; on the way we will do a bit of sight-seeing, visit various pubs and cafés, find a quiet picnic spots and above all admire the majestic views of the Kaiser mountains from all sides.
Dates: 3rd week of September. Maximum 8 passengers.
Price: Adults € 289,-, children under 12 half price.
Includes: carriage ride (4 - 6 hours per day, with folding roof), 2 overnight stops in farmhouses or nearby guesthouses with breakfast (standard or shower/WC available).
Equipment: One small piece of luggage, waterproof clothing, good shoes and a sense of humour.
Two
horsepower transport, the nodding of the horses heads, the clip-clop of their
hooves - enjoy a taste of the good old days with me.
P.S. The nights you are away with the
carriage ride, you do not pay for
the room.

Last year I have been round the Brixen-Valley in 2 days. Maggie (my first English guest in this manner) wrote me a very, very nice report about it. I hope you enjoy reading it!
